Should students read graded-books in English language?

Like its usual, teachers of high school want the students to read graded-books in English language. Some people disapprove that idea, because, like me, people normally at my age doesn't like to read, even in their languages, but I agree with this.

From my point of view reading English is a good idea because books increases a lot your level of reading, writing and speaking of English and that will be very usefull for example when you travel arround the world. Moreover, English is the main language used for everyone and is considerated the global language at the moment.

In my opinion, I personally find that learning a good level of English is going to be very important for everyone and for the future of the young students, because nowadays English is necessary in a lot of works and if your English level is bad they won't call you, because they will choose a guy with a better English level instead of you.

In conclusion, I believe that students should read graded-books in English language, especially for everyone that wants a good work and a good future in general. I don't think that reading is a waste of time because is the way to learn a language by yourself.
